Description Uros Trojar 2005-08-06 20:04:21 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.2)
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs

After upgrading from kde 3.3.2-100.1.102mdk to 3.4.2-1mdk.i586 (rpms downloaded from kde.org) the device icons on the desktop are not shown even after reenabling them in the Behavior/Device Icons. The only reference relevant to this bug that I found was at http://dot.kde.org/1122367132/1122415188/1122416474/1122453962.

I'm also using a AMD64 3000+, but I have installed the i586 version of the OS and packages.

Me to, after a fresh install of Kubuntu 5.10 it worked, made a few other installs, a reboot, and now none of the device icon will show up.
This is with KDE 3.4.2 too.

Kdesktop is no more mantained. Fortunatly this bug seems not to be valid for KDE 4. Please reopen if this bug is not a kdesktop one (and it is not solved) or it can be reproduced on KDE 4.
