Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.2) Installed from: Slackware Packages OS: Linux settings -> configure konsole -> session opens session configuration dialog. this dialog handles change applying unintuitively and inconsistently. proposed changes : 1. if i change some parameter in a session and then try to switch to other session, a popup asks me wether to save or discard changes. there should be no popup when changing between sessions, instead all changes should be applied ir discarded with global buttons ok/apply/cancel; 2. if i make changes to a session and then press ok, again the same popup is displayed. instead, changes should be applied silently, as it's the might ok button i have pressed =) (also it's the same with apply). cancel works as expected.
The current plan is to redesign the Settings dialog entirely for KDE 4.something with the help of the usability team.
Usability problem. Bug not a wishlist item. I will use this report to track progress of settings dialog changes for KDE 4.
Duplicated partly in other bug reports. Fixed in KDE 4 via profile management redesign.
