Description Carsten Niehaus 2005-08-03 19:14:28 UTC
Version: 0.8-pre svn from 2 August 2005 (using KDE Devel)
Installed from:    Compiled sources
OS:                Linux

I have these tags:

Foo
  -> Bar
  -> Buff
  ---> Blah

You assign the tag "Buff" to a picture. Later you assign "Blah" to the same picture. As "Blah" is a child of "Buff" it is clear that the picture is both Blah and Buff (and Foo, of course). Still, both tags are still assigned to the picture.

Carsten, although it is an interesting thought, I'll close it as wontfix for now. It has some large consequences. The most important one being that when you temporarely tag some images with a subtag, because you want to burn a cd with some images, it becomes weird when you delete that tag. The images would become tagless, instead of keeping there parentstag. I know we can do all sorts of workarounds for that, but I don't think it is worth the efford...
