Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.1) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages I used kmail to move mailboxes with subfolders from exchange 2000 -> courier-imap. I used "Move folder" for that. Occasionally (actually quite often!) kmail would move parts of the folder, but then crash. Then I had to restart kmail and move the contents of the folder manually (since the destination folder had already been created before the crash). I created 3 crashdumps of that.

Well, thanks for the 3 backtraces but you have to compile kmail with enabled debug to get backtraces that help us.
Ahh, that sucks. I'd have to rebuild the whole package and all that depend on it? RAAAAH.
I'm trying to do the same thing, move mail away from Exchange. The emails are in subfolders of Inbox, or in subfolders of the subfolders. In a subfolder two levels below Inbox I had about 650 emails. I selected the folder, right-clicked, chose move to other IMAP account. The prosess started, but about half-way, Kmail crashed, and I lost about 250 email messages.
I have mail for the last five years on that Exchange server. The emails I lost were not that important, but at present I can't trust Kmail to do the migration. This is very unfortunate. What do you need from me to debug this, Carsten? I'm running Kmail 1.8.1 supplied by the Novell SuSE Linux package team in kdepim3-3.4.1-3.src.rpm. I didn't compile it myself, I just read that from the package description. Yours sincerely, Haakon Meland Eriksen
I need either a backtrace with debug information or a way to reproduce this. I have tested this with different folders but found no problem.
I also retried after a recent update and now I was able to move folders with no problems... Odd!
