Description Andreas Schallenberg 2005-07-28 10:11:47 UTC
Version: 1.1.1 (using KDE 3.4.1 Level "a" , SUSE 9.2 UNSUPPORTED)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.4 (pre 3.3.5 20040809)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.8-24.16-default

When I receive invitations generated by Lotus Domino
the time is displayed incorrectly.

Example:
The mail subject line is "Einladung: test (28 Jul 09:45 CEDT)"
This time is correct and the local time is GMT+1, so here
its really 9:45h AM.
The display in a box (I assume its generated from the
vcalendar entry in the mail) shows:
"Start Time: 28.07.2005 10:45" ... which would make me
one hour late at that meeting...

Screenshot with wrong detail display

I assume this is generated from the vcalendar part

An edited dump of the invitation mail

Sender and receiver have been manually blanked.
I hope this doesn't destroy the format of that mail...

Have you set the correct timezone KOrganizer's configuration as well the
system timezone (via KControl, for example). If not, does setting it fix the
offset?
Comment 5 Andreas Schallenberg 2005-07-30 23:48:34 UTC
KOrganizer is set up for Europe/Berlin. I've been unable
to find a timezone setting in KControl. The only thing was
the gregorian calendar and such.

YaST (I use SuSE...) correctly tells me that the system
clock runs at local time and the timezone is Europe/Germany.

All this seems to be pretty fine...

Another thing I noticed: When I click "accept" the meeting
is included in my local calendar ... but also with the wrong
time. Reoccuring meetings seem to be ignored without warning
but thats an issue I will report separately when this is done.

Comment 6 Andreas Schallenberg 2005-07-30 23:55:52 UTC
Ah, sorry, found that re-occuring event entered into
my calendar:

"Betreff: 29.07.2005 Von: 10:45 bis: 11:45
Das ist ein wiederkehrendes Ereignis. Es wird wiederholt am 10:45."

It was entered in the 30.07.2005 and therefore one day late!
And as far as I can see it occurs only once (haven't found
a second entry yet). The text I quoted was a comment from
my calendar for that entry. The last line reads: "It is being
repeated at 10:45." Shouldn't be this a date AND time?

I think the time was shiftet one hour, too. But thats something
I cannot verify at the moment.

I think this is dup of bug 72009.

KDE4>= correctly handles timezones.
