Description Hertz 2005-07-23 07:47:28 UTC
Version: (using KDE 3.3.2, (3.1))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.6 (Debian 1:3.3.6-5)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.8-2-686

It would be nice if there will be a multimedia system setup like in GNOME. I mean you can choose the preferred applications for audio, video cds, dvds.
Make the kmountwatcher more user friendly, because currently it work correctly only on distributions (for example Mandrake) which ships with heavily pached KDE.

Can you describe what features you like from GNOME's setup?
Comment 2 Hertz 2005-07-23 18:56:41 UTC
1. ability to choose the preferred applications for audio, video, dvd, etc
2. the kio-audiocd (or any other kdetool) won't block the cdrom door on
forevew or untill I login as root an umount the device (see some older but
still unsolved yet bugs).
3. this should work by default and not only on user friendly distributions
which use heavy patches for kde to make things work normally.

Maybe the first point could be interesting for phonon.
Comment 4 Martin Sandsmark 2010-02-21 16:55:57 UTC
Nothing to do with Phonon, and you can already select default applications for files.
