Description Peter van der Male 2005-07-21 05:39:33 UTC
Version: 0.44 (using KDE 3.4.1, Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5-20050130 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.5.20050130-r1, ssp-3.3.5.20050130-1, pie-8.7.7.1)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.9

When opening Image -> Open Image in Graphic Application
and you click the checkbox
x Remember application association for this type of file
When you next open the image again with CTRL-G or from the menu the application is not remembered and the application has to be manually chosen again. But the chosen application shows up in file associations from the Control Centre

Comment 2 Jonathan Marten 2008-03-10 19:51:02 UTC
Have changed this action to "Open With" which offers the same list of registered applications as does Konqueror and all other KDE applications, with the preferred application listed first. More friendly, and hopefully respecting of the user's preferences - there is still the "Other" option to select an arbitrary application.

This is implemented in the SVN version, commit 778734. Please check out and try this version (from branches/work/kooka-kde3) if possible.
