Version: 0.12 (using KDE KDE 3.4.1) Installed from: Gentoo Packages In the new version 0.12 (including 0.12.1), the user documentation installs into the wrong folder. Instead of installing into /usr/share/doc/HTML/en/k3b, it goes to /usr/share/doc/HTML/en/doc, which has the result that viewing the documentation in KHelpCenter doesn't work. (That also means that 'Help->K3b Handbook' doesn't work either.) It seems that this problem is originating in bad migration to the new Subversion folder structure. This is what Lauri Watts said in http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-doc-english&m=111925487820211&w=2: > 5: Please check your tarballs install documentation and translations in the > right place. Specifically: > for a doc/Makefile.am that contains KDE_DOCS=AUTO you *MUST* have a > doc/appname directory. At least one of the release scripts is screwing this > up. If I got this right, it means that the documentation files (docbook and screenshots) in the release tarball has to be in doc/k3b/* instead of directly in doc/*. I don't know how the files are copied from SVN to the release tarball structure, but please work this out, as it affects a lot of users.
This is the same thing as #105293 but for a different application. Whichever svn2dist script you guys are using is quite broken and needs fixing. The docs *are* in the right place in SVN, and install correctly if built from real source, this only affects the tarballs.
fixed for k3b.
