With both Safari and Firefox 1.1 supporting this new element, it would be nice if Konq. could add support for it as well, at least in the 2D context.

Canvas is a great technology and helps a lot. Please think about adding it on khtml.
(I'm building a mapserver with canvas and I would love my favorite browser had support to it)

canvas works fine in trunk
