Description John Miller 2005-06-21 21:32:55 UTC
Version:           3.4.0 (using KDE 3.4.89 (>= 20050615), compiled sources)
Compiler:          gcc version 3.4.3 (Mandrakelinux 10.2 3.4.3-7mdk)
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.11-9.mm.2mdk

The configured printer, an Epson C40UX, does not show in konqueror's print dialog. All that shows is a dashed line and the various print to file options. The printer does show in the printing dialog in all other kde apps such as kate, kpdf, kwrite, etc., and printing works. I tried removing and reconfiguring the printer via kcontrol but it didn't help.

UNCONFIRMED (batch reassigning messed this)

How do you start konqueror? From a console? From the menu? As the same user as all the other applications?

The exactly same mechanism is used for printing (and showing printers) in all applications that you enumerate. Do you still have this? I can't reproduce it. Did you see it happen with other applications too? Are printers correctly appearing if you launch the command "kprinter" in a console?

Printing is now working for me from konqueror in 3.4.91 (beta1, >= 20050910), so I'll close this report.
