Description Arthur 2005-06-18 11:35:47 UTC
Version: 1.4.0 (using KDE KDE 3.3.2)
Installed from:    SuSE RPMs
OS:                Linux

Steps to reproduce:
* start umbrello
* draw some entities etc.
* choose File/Open...
-> You're greeted with a dialog asking whether you want to save your work now.
Expected behaviour: Ask for file to open and open it in a new tab.

Furthermore if you choose "No" your current work is gone, this isn't clear from the dialog wording. If you then cancel the file opening dialog you're left without a tab at all and umbrello crashes when you close it.

Supporting multiple documents within a single umbrello instance
would imply a major redesign.
Why don't you just start a second umbrello?

Sorry, I've thought that tabs are different documents. In this case the wording of the "no" button of the dialog should be changed to something like "no, discard changes" or something similar. Else it's not clear that you're going to loose your work.

Could you then open a new entry/rephrase your report if need be, thanks.
