Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.1) Installed from: SuSE RPMs OS: Irix I have a calendar stored on a ftp server. The settings for this calendar are "save on every change" (but i think, that doesn't matter). The ftp server provides read/write access. Now when changing something in this calendar, it will be saved to the ftp server. But immediately a error message pops up similar to (i'm using the german translation) "Error on saving ..." with the name of the remote resource. But - the changes are ALWAYS saved. I never found that a change got lost. Sometimes korganizer crashes with SIG11 after poping up this error message. But changes are saved to the remote resource. I think, this may be a timing problem or a problem with evaluating the exit status of the kioslave, which saves the remote resource.
Typo: not Irix it's Linux. Sorry.
I'll confirm this report. Version: 3.4.3 Installed from: Gentoo ebuild OS: Linux My calendar (and contact list) is saved via a remote SSH session via fish:// I get the same (spurious) error message.
Try to set "Save delayed after every change" (hope this is the correct label in the english version. Is the second option from bottom) in the resources config dialog. This reduced the appearance of the error message to once a day or less.

I get the same message "Error while saving <foo.ics> on <hostname>" with our office calendars on WebDAV, but I don't notice any error: the calendar seems to save fine. We're running Fedora Core 5 package kdepim-3.5.2-2.0.fc5.kde . Our office uses the option to save immediately after every change. A more verbose error message might be helpful. :)
Reassigning all KOrganizer bug reports and wishes to the newly created korganizer-devel mailing list.
Dear reporter, the resources handling got redone for KF5 and KF6 based PIM applications. If you still encounter the issues you had in the past, please report them to the current maintained and updated PIM applications you use Thanks a lot!
