Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.2) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux The name of the sound system in KDE should be "Sonorsistemo", "Sonorosistemo" (single word) or "Sonora Sistemo", but not "Sonoro Sistemo". La sonora sistemo de KDE nomigxu "Sonorsistemo", "Sonorosistemo" aux "Sonora Sistemo", sed ne "Sonoro Sistemo".
Still valid after two years? It seems to be translated as "Sonsistemo" (though there is "Network Audio System"="Reta Sonoro Sistemo (NAS)", too). Is it correct?
At least still valid in KDE 3.5.5. Sorry, I haven't updated yet to a more recent version. "Sonsistemo" should be fine.
I just viewed translation in KDE's SVN (branch/stable, i.e KDE 3.5.7 now). If possible, you could check has problem resolved or not and close it or update with new information/suggestions.
Created attachment 20890 [details] Changes in the Esperanto translations of kcmarts Fixed the above mistranslation and some other similar errors. This is just a proposal, maybe someone with more experience in Esperanto might help improve it. I hope the patch format is correct, I just did a diff <old> <new>.
Hopefully this time Esperanto translators react more quicky (and will remember close the bug... :-) )
Still valid...
Sorry about that. I'm on the Esperanto team, just changed it to a single word. Now I have to go find out how one keeps track of bugs.
You should ask it at sysadmin@kde.org, so you can have the bug reports assigned to the person (or mailing list) who really is involved in translation. But is this bug now fixed? If so, I can close it for you, if you have no rights for it.
Thanks, I do need you to close, since I have no rights -- it is fixed. I think I will email sysadmin to ask that bug reports be sent directly to the mailing list; that's a good idea. When the admin/coordinator loses interest, we'll still get the reports.
OK, let's then close it.
