Version:           0.8 experimental (using KDE KDE 3.4.1)
Installed from:    SuSE RPMs
Compiler:          gcc 3.3.4 
OS:                Linux

It is not possible to create a new tag. If I right click on a tag and select "new tag..." The dialog for creating a new tag opens. But when I close this dialog by clickinng on the ok button, only a error messagebox pops up containing no text but just the ok button.

We don't except bugs for the 0.8 version. We don't advice anyone but the developers to run this version.

Your bugreport suggests that you installed it from "Suse RPMs", I hope that is an error. If not can you tell me where those rpms are located?

Indeed it was an error. I thought it was concerning the kde packages. Digikam itself was compiled by me from the current svn version.
