Version: 3.2.0 (using KDE KDE 3.4.1)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

"help"->"report bug"=="Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@kde.org and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log."
pasting the generated url
http://bugs.kde.org/wizard.cgi?os=Linux%20(i686)%20release%202.6.11.10&compiler=gcc%20version%203.3.6%20(Debian%201%3A3.3.6-5)&kdeVersion=3.4.1,%20Debian%20Package%204%3A3.4.1-1%20(3.1)&appVersion=3.2.0&package=kdevelop3&kbugreport=1
into another browser provokes the same error as well. obviously the generation of a valif url fails.

I just tried this with Firefox and IE. No problems. Most likely, you simply ran into a server problem.

Closing.
Comment 2 arne anka 2005-06-09 08:57:48 UTC
nope. got the same problem just again -- and if it's a server problem it's areally obstinate one or it likes exactly me with all my browsers ...
i ecplicitely tried the url generated by kdevelop and it provokes the same error over and over -- tested a few other kde-progs too and nothing else yields this problem. posting bugs directly and giving the infos contained in the url in the interfaeces provided works flawlessly, so i am absolutely convinced kdevelop misforms the url.
Comment 3 Jens Dagerbo 2005-06-09 12:48:31 UTC
Yeah, you're right. And wrong. It does crash the server with that url, my mistake. However, KDevelop doesn't build the string, it's done by common code in kdelibs so the error can't be in local to KDevelop.

In fact, this is a server code problem. Debian calls the package 'kdevelop3' which doesn't exist in the kde bug system, so it crashes. The unrenamed package is 'kdevelop', try altering the above url and you will see it working.

Changing the product to b.k.o instead.
Comment 4 Matt Rogers 2005-06-09 14:13:57 UTC
This is only a problem in Debian. File a bug with them for them to fix it. They shouldn't be renaming the kdevelop executable and this is no problem in the KDE code.
Comment 5 Matt Rogers 2005-06-09 14:19:02 UTC
while you should still file a bug with debian, since this is their problem (you won't have this problem with SUSE or Gentoo, for example), crashing because wrong input is provided isn't good.

Reopening.
Comment 6 arne anka 2005-06-09 14:58:54 UTC
will do.
what means "b.k.o"?

bugs.kde.org
Comment 8 arne anka 2005-06-21 16:11:05 UTC
somebody working on this? it's still there and still annoying.
Comment 9 Amilcar do Carmo Lucas 2005-06-24 16:53:25 UTC
Well, I think this is not a bug of KDevelop (nothing is wrong with our code and KDevelop does not crash).

This partly a bugs.kde.org bug because it issues an "apache internal error 500" instead of informing that the product does not exist. But it is not a big bug.

The real issue lies in Debian. They should fix their KDevelop.
Comment 10 arne anka 2005-06-27 10:56:44 UTC
i don't care who's bug it is -- i don't want to buy it, i want it fixed. the internal error mis odd enough 'cause it does not yield the error causing it. if it's debian's issue (filed already a bug) or not does not matter! the server should handle it more gracefully and informative than just crash.
the bug should have reassigned to bugs.kde.org if you think it's not your issue. additional comments repeating all stuff said again are not helping -- reassigning would have been more appreciated.
Comment 11 Chris Howells 2006-05-23 02:54:41 UTC
The URL in the original report works for me successfully.

I have just loaded KDevelop, gone to Help->Bug Report and filed a test bug report successfully (using Kubuntu packages, which are basically the same as Debian)

If you still have this bug please give the steps required to reproduce it since it appears to be fixed.
