Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.0) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux when you create a new filter rule with a few rules it takes a lot to draw the widgets with the settings and you can see how appear them from top to bottom taking about a bit less than one second in my ibook g3 800 machine draw each rule config.
What about newer KDE versions (3.4.2 or any KDE 3.5 Beta)? Do they have the same problem? There are few people out there running KMail on a G3/G4 system, let alone KDEPIM developers using a G3. So it's all but easy to do something against the slow redraw...
still the same here: guffy:/home/bencer# dpkg -l | grep kdelibs ii kdelibs 3.4.2-4 core libraries from the official KDE release ii kdelibs-bin 3.4.2-4 core binaries for all KDE applications ii kdelibs-data 3.4.2-4 core shared data for all KDE applications ii kdelibs4-dev 3.4.2-4 development files for the KDE core libraries ii kdelibs4c2 3.4.2-4 core libraries for all KDE applications guffy:/home/bencer# dpkg -l | grep kmail ii kmail 3.4.2-2 KDE Email client ii kmailcvt 3.4.2-2 KDE KMail mail folder converter guffy:/home/bencer#

in r872xxx the number of filter criteria is limited to 8. it gets drawn here instantly, although with a 2ghz machine. but i think its fixed now.
Testing with KDE 4.3.1 I see no problem with redraw. closing.
