Description Oded Arbel 2005-06-01 11:37:33 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.1)
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs
Compiler: gcc 4.0.1
OS: Linux

I've configured Kmail to use <F> for "forward inline" and <SHIFT-F> for "forward as attachment" (the reverse of the default).

Still, if I open a message in a single window message view (I noticed this when opening embedded messages, but regular messages behave the same), then the keyboard binding (and as can be seen when pulling the forward button on the toolbar) have "inline" listed as <SHIFT-F> and "as attachment" listed as <F>. It also behaves as such when I click buttons, so its not only in my head.

IMO the defined keyboard shortcuts for forwarding messages should be the same in the message viewer and the kmail app itself.

I just noticed that the message viewer has its own shortcut binding dialog where these things can be changed, but I still think they should be synchronized between the the kmail app and message viewer as the normal user will expect them to behave the same and will not expect that it is required to configure the same behavior twice.
