Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.0) Installed from: Mandriva RPMs OS: Linux Hello everybody! I am a KDE user since 2 years, and I use it everyday on my old notepad. The KDE 3.4 Manuals are now using a very big logo at the head of each document, and it generally takes more than 30% of my little screen (1024x768). As KDE is also made for little screens, I would like to know if it is possible to reduce the size of this KDE logo. For example, the icon of the KDE web site www.kde.org will be fine I think. Thank you.
The current banner in the documentation is in fact only about 10 pixels more than the previous version, which was in place for quite a long time. It certainly shouldn't be taking 30% of your screen. I'm currently looking at the Konsole documentation in a Konqueror window sized to fit on an 800x600 screen. Konqueror has quite a lot more toolbars than khelpcenter, and while on that size the graphics look quite big, they're still not taking up 30% of the screen. Can you show a screenshot of what you're seeing? I suspect there is something wrong that I'm not understanding about this problem. Right now, some of the graphics and layout for the help pages is generated in XSL, and some is CSS. There is ongoing effort to get it all laid out in CSS, and once that happens, the help pages may be themeable (and we could provide 'lighter' or 'smaller' or different themes via the 'get hot new stuff' mechanism, but this currently isn't possible.
Created attachment 11459 [details] Screenshot I think I've be a little expansive when I talk about 1/3 of my screen, and it is rather 1/5, as you can see in the screenshot
I'll see what we can come up with for KDE 3.5
Thanks! (ok, my comment is useless to fix this problem, I know ;-)
nicolas is it ok to close this bugreport ?
Absolutely !
