Version: 0.10 (using KDE 3.4.0 Level "b" , SUSE 9.3) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 20050117 (prerelease) (SUSE Linux) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.11.4-20a-default Since two or three days I can not connect to MSN using Kopete - I always get a "wrong password" answer. I checked the password via the MS website and it worked.
I have the same problem. I'm not familiar with msn messenger's protocol, but it appears as if it's forcing a new version down to the clients. Here's an ethereal dump of the short TCP connection > VER 0 MSNP9 < VER 0 MSNP9 > CVR 1 0x0409 winnt 5.1 i386 MSNMSGR 6.0.0602 MSMSGS foo@bar.com < CVR 1 7.0.0813 7.0.0813 6.2.0205 > http://msgr.dlservice.microsoft.com/download/5/d/9/5d9bb5b2-49c7-4890-94ab-d1d5e44a0e6d/Install_MSN_Messenger.exe http://messenger.msn.com < USR 2 TWN I foo@bar.com > XFR 2 NS 207.46.106.56:1863 0 207.46.104.20:1863 Then Kopete asks for me to correct my password.
