Version: ukjent (using KDE 3.4.0, Debian Package 4:3.4.0-0pre4 (3.1))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-12)

Same as bug #80704, only that this viewer displays the images correctly, but print them wrong.

Example pdf document demonstrating the problem

Attaching the document. The black boxes are reproduced by printing to file
 using kprinter and cups.

Postscript of page 5 with black boxes

Add a postscript file with this problem too.
Comment 4 Marius Kotsbak 2005-05-18 16:13:21 UTC
Hmm. The postscript file is actually displayed correctly in gv, but with black boxes on the printer.
Comment 5 Albert Astals Cid 2005-05-18 16:44:31 UTC
Reassigning to kdeprint as kpdf produces a correct ps file so if you see black boxes (i cannot check because my printer is broken at the moment) when printing it is kdeprint fault and not kpdf
Comment 6 Michael Goffioul 2005-05-19 18:52:05 UTC
And what happen when you try to print your PS test file using "lpr" instead of kprinter? What you can also try is to print to a PS file from kpdf, then print the result using "lpr"? Do you still have the problem?

Michael.

The .ps file is actually printed from kpdf...

Same problem.

Actually this prints correctly using the old lpr system (I used cups emulated lpr in comment #7), so I suppose the problem is in cups/printer driver.

Indeed. Have a look at http://www.linuxprinting.org for possible CUPS drivers for your printer.

Michael.
