Description Marco Morath 2005-04-25 13:51:35 UTC
Version: 1.8 (using KDE 3.4.0 Level "b" , SUSE 9.3)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 20050117 (prerelease) (SUSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.11.4-20a-default

Hello!

Since I've installed SuSE Linux 9.3 Pro I can't recieve my E-Mails by
KMail 1.8. Before I did the update, I almost used KMail on SuSE Linux 8.1
and it worked really well! My e-mail-provider is web.de.

The only Problem is the receiving of e-mails by POP3. Sending e-mails
by STMP works without any errors! Whenever I try to look for my e-mails,
the server reports "User-Name or password incorrect", but I didn't change
any settings in KMail since the update!

Tip: SuSE Firewall2 is currently running!

Sometimes by trying to recieve e-mails and surfing in the internet there
is following error too: "Server not found". If I try some seconds later,
the error doesn't repeat! That wasn't so before the update, too!

Could that be a problem of the settings of SuSE Firewall2?

E-Mail Settings:

POP3-Port: 995, SSL-Encryption, simple-text-Login

Tip: My Compuserve-e-mail-provider works still without errors!

Thanks for your Help!

Marco

Pop3 works perfectly here.

Do you still have this problem with kmail from KDE 3.5.5? Or we can close this bug?

As this cannot be reproduced and there wasn't any more feedback I'm closing this. Please reopen if problems persist.
