Version: 0.10 (using KDE 3.4.0, Debian Package 4:3.4.0-0ubuntu3 (3.1)) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-8ubuntu2) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.10-5-k7 The MSN 7 client close idle conversations after 1 minute instead of 5 minutes for other clients. May be nice if it is easy to detect it to adjust the "conversation closed" label accordingly.
The timeout isn't in the client, but in the server. Now, maybe the MSN7 client has a timeout, i don't know. But the label "timeout" is used when the server send the timeout itself.
It does have a timeout of itself. But even if I like to know if closing the conversation was voluntary or not, this info is of very trivial importance.

I also think that information is of no use because it's sent by the server and not your contact. You contact does not leave the chat so the message is just wrong. This timeout also causes a problem when using webcam because the cam just stops if you receive that message.
"has left the chat" message is one of the most annoying "features" in kopete. I did disable the "Enable events for active chat window", restarted the Kopete but it did not stop the "has left the chat" messages.
