Description Freda Saul 2005-04-07 21:08:57 UTC
Version: 1.7.1 (using KDE KDE 3.2.3)
Installed from: Mandrake RPMs
OS: Linux

I can receive mail on my pop3 server, but cannt send it. I get an error message, error 127. This is AFTER having installed the STARTTLS command. Before that, I got a different error message, that the server could not accept the mail. The problem seems to be local, within KMAIL client, as receiving is fine. I have checked all my settings against the requirements for my pop3 provider, and these seem to conform. So again, the problem seems to be the KMAIL client.

You're using KDE 3.3's KMail in KDE 3.2. Can you upgrade to KDE 3.4 and try again?

I'm using KDE 3.4 and this problem happens as well.
Though I'm on kubuntu.

Does this bug still happend for you? If so, does the error message show more than just "error 127"? This bug might be related to very specific settings and we need all information we can get to fix it.

I quit using Kmail in favor of Thunderbird a long time ago because of these unresolved bugs. Please take me off this list.
