Description Mathias Homann 2005-04-05 15:49:08 UTC
Version:           1.8 (using KDE 3.4.0 Level "b" , SUSE 9.2 UNSUPPORTED)
Compiler:          gcc version 3.3.4 (pre 3.3.5 20040809)
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.8-24.14-default

I'm running kmail with several imap accounts, hence several identities, and when replying to a mail that was sieve-filtered into a subfolder of an account, kmail uses the default identity for replying instead of the identity connected for that account.

Accounts and identities are different things.

What do you mean with "identity connected to that account"? There is no
association between an account and an identity. Did you set your identity
for the folder that contains the email?

let me re-phrase:

it should be possible to configure an identity for "this folder and all subfolders" instead of just the folder.

moreover, i think this should be possible on an account basis, i.e. create an identity, create an account, configure that account to be linked with that identity.

especially with imap accounts...

I see, then this is a wish and duplicate.
