Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.0) Installed from: Compiled From Sources Each time I restart my KDE session the KMail main window is boringly showing on top of my desktop, even if I minimized it into the systray icon at KDE exit. I have KMail systray icon always activated. I have KDE session managment that remember the launched applications and theire state at logout and restore them at login. KMail should remember the state of the window(s) (shown, hidden...) at KDE logout.
Confirmed for KDE 3.5.1 Duplicate bug reports
Found also in 4:3.5.5.dfsg.1-6 in Debian See http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=377439
Same problem, kmail always show main window on startup and don't remember if it shown or not at logout. Version - 1.9.50.
Confirmed for: KDE Version 1.9.10 (KDE 3.5.10 "release 21.11" , openSUSE ) Application E-Mail Client Operating System Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.27.7-9-default Compiler Target: x86_64-suse-linux kmail is closed, only the panel applet icon is showing. Saving this session state and login in again always shows kmail maximised.
Just checked with KDE 4.3.0. it works and kmail opens invisible. Only the systray icon is shown.
