Description Malte S. Stretz 2005-03-31 11:17:26 UTC
Version: 3.4 (using KDE 3.4.0, Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.5-r1, ssp-3.3.2-3, pie-8.7.7.1)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.10-gentoo-r4

When you open the Address Book, not the first contact shown in the list (by whatever ordering) is selected but the first contact which was added to std.vcf. I think this started to happen in KDE 3.3 and over time it gets annoying ;~)

I think that contact is also selected when you do some other actions, like deleting a contact (or even renaming or modifying, I currently don't want to check).

The development of the old KAddressBook will be discontinued for KDE 4.4.
Since the new application has the same name, but a completly new code base we close all bug reports against the old version and ask the submitters to resend there reports against the new product.
