It would be great if I could add short notes to received emails for later answers. It's like a todo list but directly attached to a specific email for instant thoughts on the future reply (for which I haven't have the time now). This note could be shown by a small icon and/or hovering over it with the pointer.

I would like to add another related idea: That you can highlight parts of the text in the mail like if you have one of those yellow markers on paper. Thus you don't have to read the whole email and do a lot of thinking when you later want to find out why you saved it in the first place.
