Description James Smith 2005-03-20 05:22:27 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc-3.4.3-r1
OS: Linux

While monitoring remote compiles and the konsole process in top (in another xterm) Konsole uses a disproportionately large amount of CPU time. I did not see this behavior in the RC.

Steps to reproduce:

1) Start compile (preferrably on remote machine)
2) Watch cpu usage in top of konsole process
3) ???

I see the same behaviour in Konq, when dragging the scrollbar. I wonder if it has something to do with the smooth scrolling patch that was just applied? See BUG #76082.

I feel somewhat foolish. Apparently an overclock was causing grief and I didn't even realise it. Apologies. :(
