Same package built for i386 runs fine. I know the platform is new and this probably should have been reported by the Debian maintainer, but it's been a problem for months.
Backtrace, please? After the crash you should see a crash handler dialog. The second tab in this dialog contains much useful information, please attach that to this bugreport. I'm curious, if you think you should report the bug to the Debian maintainer, then why didn't you do that? best, Jeroen

Thanks for the backtrace, lots of details in there ;-) It is very odd that Kile segfaults in that place, since there are no pointers in the line of code where Kile crashes. It suggest that the culprit is in the libraries, but it is hard to tell. best, Jeroen
