Description Martin van Es 2005-03-16 15:10:41 UTC
Version: v0.8.4 (using KDE 3.4.0, compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-8)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.11

My SMC wireless router has a 'backup configuration' button that opens a new page with

Open 'http://192.168.1.1/2804wbr_backup.dlf'?
Type: application/octet-stream

But that will never save, within KGet.

Why? KGet doesn't add that download? An error occurs during saving?

This is the state KGet stays in after selecting 'save as' and clicking ok in
the fileselector dialog.

Can u try with KGet2? Probably it's also a KIO-Bug...

I use standard ubuntu packages and my kget says it's 0.8.5. There doesn't seem to be a kget2 package in the package list. Apart from that I don't actively use the router anymore but if it's valuable I could connect it to my PC and test.

Ok, anyway I will close this since the KDE3-Version of KGet is unmaintained, please reopen if you can reproduce the bug in KGet2...
