Description T. K. 2005-03-13 18:54:05 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from: RedHat RPMs
OS: Linux

kget tries to connect to auto pasted link, even though limit is reached, resulting in an error message (in expert mode).

to reproduce:
- set limit to say 4 connections
- go in autopaste + expert mode
- minimize kget window
- copy link locations (4 times)
- (everything as expected until now)
- copy and therefore paste another link (the fifth one)
- an error window message pops up, stating kget was unable to connect to the server

expected:
- kget should just queue links when download limit is exceeded, instead of trying to download them. When the number of downloads falls short of the limit, kget should start the next download

note:
- kget used to work in exactly that manner. The problem appered after updating to KDE 3.4rc1

I would estimate severity relatively high, because it really stops kget from being useful in many occasions.

This report is not valid anymore for KGet trunk (KDE 4).
