Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.3) Installed from: Mandrake RPMs OS: Linux - Setup a keypair with KGpg - Configure kmail identity to use that key as "OpenPGP signing key" and "OpenPGP encryption key" - Security->Crypto Backends shows OpenPGP is checked (gpg). (S/MIME is grayed out) With this done, I am able to sign a message, and verify it succesfully. However if I try to encrypt or sign+encrypt a message, the pgp attachement in the outgoing mail contains only "Version :1". : [..] --nextPart370210222.4NAeRZJ5X1 Content-Type: application/pgp-encrypted Content-Disposition: attachment Version: 1 --nextPart370210222.4NAeRZJ5X1 Content-Type: application/octet-stream Content-Disposition: inline; filename="msg.asc" [..] I tried Tools->GnuPG log viewer, but it complains about not finding watchgnupg, and I don't know how to check this further
Hm, seems like your installation is somewhat borked. What are the versions of gnupg, gpgme etc. that you have installed?
Hopefully everything relevant is there : libkdepim2-kontact-3.3.0-29.6.101mdk kdepim-kontact-3.3.0-29.6.101mdk gnupg-1.2.4-1.1.101mdk libgpg-error0-1.0-1mdk
Is this still an issue?
Seems to be solved since no reply anymore. Cannot confirm this bug after heavy signing and encrypting for the last two years with every KMail version. Seems to have been a configuration issue. I think can be closed.
it works also for me in kmail 1.10.1.
