Version: 2.4 (using KDE 3.4.0, compiled sources) Compiler: gcc version 3.4.1 (Mandrakelinux 10.1 3.4.1-4mdk) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.10-1mdk Kate doesn't keep changes made to toolbar icon size and always starts with icon size set to default.
I can confirm the same problem here. Kate 2.4 (using KDE 3.4.0, compiled sources) gcc versión 3.4.3 20041125 (Gentoo Linux 3.4.3-r1, ssp-3.4.3-0, pie-8.7.7) Kernel 2.6.10-gentoo-r7
Same problem for me, using KDE 3.4 with SuSE 9.2 You do not neccessarily need to close Kate to see the effect. Just change the icon size, then go to "configure toolbars", change something and press "apply" - the changes in size and/or text position are lost.
Has any Kate/KWrite Developer read this bug? What should happend to a bug to be marked as "CONFIRMED"? (I am not demanding, just asking) I've just upgraded my KDE to version 3.4.1 and the bug is still there: icon size is not saved upon exiting. When i select big icons (or whatever other size) in toolbar preference, it does not get saved. Kate doesn't keep changes made to toolbar icon size and always starts with icon size set to default. As Eckhart mentioned, you do not neccessarily need to close Kate to see the effect. I tried kate with different user accounts. I also tried moving my katerc file aside. Neither helped nor revealed much. Hope some one can help us, cos at 1600x1200 the default icon size is difficult to see for me.
Can confirm this problem, too. It's really annoying.
I'm running kde svn from July 1 and the bug appears to be fixed now.
With KDE 3.4.2 the bug has appear again :(
