Description Rudolf Kollien 2005-02-26 18:41:25 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.2)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

When exporting a calendar to html, birthdays, which are displayed from kaddressbook's contacts, are exported to html, too. This shouldn't be done if the option "hide private" (or confidential) is choosen and the contact is marked as private (or confidential). Sounds complicated, i know.

Example:

I have contacts "marked" as public and some as private. All the birthdays are displayed in korganizer as expected. Now i export the calendar to html an choose in the options dialog NOT to export private events. This works fine for all events natively created in korganizer but not for the birthdays displayed from kaddressbook. Even the corresponding contact is marked "private".

This is not very funny when sending the html to the corporate intranet/extranet/internet. I don't think my boss is interested in knowing when my, f.e. brother in law, has his birthday.

Same for "confidential" marked contacts.

Maybe Bug 94209 is similar tho this?

Reassigning all KOrganizer bug reports and wishes to the newly created

Bug confirmed using current KDE4 trunk (r865276)

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of korganizer (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
