Description David Taberner 2004-10-26 12:10:46 UTC
Version: 1.7 (using KDE KDE 3.3.0)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

I have message preview disabled, meaning I have to double click to read messages. With the setup the shortcut settings go strange.

I set reply to ctrl + R in the shortcut settings, however when I double click to open a message (after kmail restart etc etc) and press ctrl + R nothing happens, however the old (default) shortcut key works still (this being R) if I go back to message view select a message and press ctrl + r it works.. I am guessing most people have preview pane on and have never noticed this.
As you don't open a message in a new window with it on.

If someone could look into it.

I can reproduce that. Changing summary to clarify the problem for the developers. Thanks for taking the time to report.

I can also confirm this works in 1.10.1.

Damn sorry. I answered and closed the wrong bug.

I checked this one now and noted that the main kmail window and the window used for viewing the mail have 2 separate sets of shortcuts. I'm leaving this one closed and will report a new wish to unify those.
