Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

Using the text tool, accented chars (é and the like) cannot be entered. One gets 'e instead.

How do I enter such a character? I changed my keyboard layout to dk and I
can, at least, type ë (e with 2 dots on top) by pressing ]e on my US keyboard
(in both KWrite and KolourPaint).

You use deadkeys, like you do. The key in question is located immediately left of the Backspace key. Gives me the two chars I describe.

It is a Qt problem (in SuSE and Mandrake). For SuSE, it is bug #88151:

Have a nice day!
