In KOrganizer, I have to click the Reminder box for each new event.  I cannot find a preference to let me set that by default (there's a preference for the default amount of time for the reminder, but no preference to actually have the reminder to default to being set).

This was compiled from the SuSE src.rpm rather than the binary package, but that would seem unlikely to be the issue.

This can be done most easily by templates. We'll have to provide a default template, too, which is used to all new events...
