Description Robin Rosenberg 2004-02-10 01:32:37 UTC
Version:           3.2.0 (using KDE 3.2 BRANCH >= 20040204, Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 (Mandrake Linux 10.0 3.3.2-4mdk)
OS:          Linux (i686) release 2.4.22-21mdk

When I pull down menus using keyboard accelerators, e.g. Alt-F for "File"; if the mouse cursor simply happens to be positioned above a menu entry it becomes selected and possibly submenus appear. This is confusing as the act of using the keyboard means I, the user, is in "keyboard" mode and would like to see the first menu item (or none) to be selected (as in CUA).

The current mode makes use of keyboard accellerator much less efficient as I have to wait and see which item, if any, will be selected before chooing which key to press next.
