Description Andrew Kohlsmith 2003-12-22 18:09:07 UTC
Version: 1.5.93 (using KDE KDE 3.1.93)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: gcc 3.2
OS: Linux

I see 28796 but I feel that a simple "Are you sure" dialogue would have solved his problem without making the rest of us have to perform two (lengthy) steps.

I use SpamAssassin to dump all tagged spam into another IMAP folder. When that folder gets quite large it takes a long time to move all messages to trash, and then have to empty the trash.

I would very much appreciate the "empty folder" rightclick menu item with a big hairy "you are about to irrevocably delete the contents of this folder! Are you sure?" dialogue to be present on all folders, not just ones designated trash.

Alternatively, is there a way I can tag specific folders as trash folders so that the option may show up only on specific folders? Obviously I can't call the folder "Trash" since the name is already taken.

Currently only one folder per IMAP account can be specified as Trash folder.

Would still like to have this wishlist item in KDE 3.2.2+.

rmb/delete all

Deleting all messages from a folder is now available (and request a confirmation before really deleting)
Comment 5 Christophe Marin 2008-11-20 17:11:40 UTC
Closing.
Comment 6 Christophe Marin 2008-11-20 17:13:44 UTC
Note : it's not exactly "empty folder" but it's the safest way to remove all messages from a folder.
Comment 7 Christophe Marin 2008-11-20 17:27:45 UTC
reopen. Another way should be possible to avoid moving the messages.
Comment 8 Jason Keirstead 2008-11-20 18:05:20 UTC
I concur with the reopening - as I said in my opening comment Moving all messages to the trash is explicitly what I *don't* want to have to do.
Comment 9 Björn Ruberg 2009-12-25 00:07:46 UTC
Select all messages in the folder and press shift+del . I think, this is enough - as you are the only one requesting this feature :)
