Description Sean E. Russell 2003-10-01 01:11:44 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.3)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

I believe I heard about this being a feature of one of the MacOSes, and when I did, I realized how often I want this.

Basically, I'd like to be able to bookmark search results, creating a meta-folder. A use case example: I have a bunch of images in a directory, which have metadata keywords -- "print", "mom", "web", for example. Some images have some of the words, some have more than one -- some get printed and displayed in my web photo gallery, and some are just put in the gallery. I often use the "search" feature locate files for printing, or files for uploading.

It would be extremely handy to have short cuts for these searches, rather than having to bring up the search tool and enter the search terms every time.

PS. I've noticed a "Save as" button in the find file

Hmm. Pressing "delete" a bunch can apparently trigger a "submit" in a web
form.

Anyway, what I was saying in the PS is that, although there is a "save as"
button, it is always grayed out, but perhaps this was intended as to support
this sort of wish request.
