Description Alex Radu 2003-08-17 00:41:01 UTC
Version: 3.1.3 (using KDE KDE 3.1.3)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

Okay, I think everyone will agree that the Theme Manager is almost totally useless in KDE 3.1 and even dangerous (see my bug about it destroying my entire system).

This is why I am suggesting that a theme package should be able to change everything about KDE's appearance. This means that everything in the Look n Feel section and Desktop should be completely altered by a theme, this includes C++ styles.

This would finally make it easier for people to share their look. There won't be any more of this:

What Window Decoration is that? What fonts are you using? What icons ar ethose? What wallpaper is that? What style is that? etc. Now you can simply point them to a theme.

Themes should also be easy to create, ther ecould be a button such as create theme from setup which could atutomagically make a theme. This way I can have all my desktops look and act the way I want them to without wasting an hour or two.
