Hi Virgil, I can' reproduce the bug with the date picker here with CVS HEAD, so I guess it got fixed during the last weeks. Concerning the shortcuts: we use a class, that tries to create the shortcuts automatically. It's not perfect but makes the translators life a lot easier... We'll try to have as less clashes as possible, but we can't avoid all I fear. Ciao, Tobias Subject: Re: birthday and anniversary reset to current date Bug #57465 >Hi Virgil, > >I can' reproduce the bug with the date picker here with >CVS HEAD, so I guess >it got fixed during the last weeks. Excellent, I'd say. Rreeealy excellent. >Concerning the shortcuts: we use a class, that tries to >create the shortcuts >automatically. That's cool, using an automated shortcut creator :-) On another level, I thought about it long and hard... I am a good C programmer, a decent C++ programmer, but I know nothing about QT or Linux programming in general (I am not familiar with how ./configure or make work). I would be interested in programming for KDE, but I don't know where to start. I was thinking that maybe a good place to do so is that instead of bugging you guys with the (minor) bugs I find, I'd try to fix them first on my own, just to get the feel of it. So, are there any tutorials on really basic stuff, like how to create a window, add menus, write help files and so on? Or, is there a very simple KDE application you know of so that I can study its skeleton and figure out how stuff is done? Saluti, Virgil ------------------------------------------------- Search for pictures with Euroseek Image Search http://euroseek.com/image_search/ Euroseek Translation http://www.euroseek.com/translator/ The development of the old KAddressBook will be discontinued for KDE 4.4. Since the new application has the same name, but a completly new code base we close all bug reports against the old version and ask the submitters to resend there reports against the new product. |
