another useful thing would be a audiocd FLAC plugin for ripping to flac I think FLAC support would greatly add to noatuns and KDEs set of features. If you look at www.hydrogenaudio.org their forum has FLAC on top in a recent poll about lossless prefered method... FLAC playback is now provided by the xine_plugin in kdemultimedia. A seperate plugin can be found in kdenonbeta/flac_plugin, where a kfile-plugin is also present. Audiocd-support is not yet finished, but not part of the original wishitem. Now how exactly do I close bugs? Subject: Re: Please implement FLAC support

*** Bug 76587 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I'm still not able to play FLAC files with Noatun (kdemultimedia-3.2.0-1.3), or with artsplay (arts-1.2.0-1.5). Both play ogg files fine; other players (AlsaPlayer, XMMS) play FLAC files. I'm using RPM packages from Fedora Devel. Is it necessary to activate some plugin? FYI, the packages provided by RedHat do not include flac support. The ones from http://kde-redhat.sourceforge.net/ do. |
