I am seeing almost the same - I get different missed files when moving backwards up the list. It doesn't matter if automatic preview is selected or not. Yes, I know about this problem -- it's a bug in QIconView, which is hopefully to be fixed in the next Qt release. Looks to me like it's a case problem: filenames are sorted whatever case they are, but the keyboard arrows select capitals first, if you know what i mean Subject: Re: file selector: some files are not selectable via keybord

No, unfortunately not that easy. The iconview doesn't know about rows or
columns and tries to find the "nearest" item. This obviously finds wrong
items in some cases. I'm discussing this with TrollTech, but we haven't found
a satisfiable solution, yet.
