I don't see a bug here. When you enter a folder which contains new messages (i.e. messages which arrived in this folder since you last visited it) KMail optionally jumps to the first new message. This is configurable (in Configure KMail...->Folders). If you don't like this turn it off. When this feature is turned off or the folder doesn't contain any new messages the message which was last read is selected. |
