(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: noatun
Version: 2.0.0 (using KDE 3.0.0 )
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: Red Hat Linux 7.2.93
Compiler: gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.3 2.96-110)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.18-3
OS/Compiler notes:

The 'young hickory' plugin for noatun should have an option for start minimised so when I start noatun it only shows the dock icon and not the full window.

C'mon guys. Two years for such feature?! Please, please ;)

BTW: ain't that dupe of bug 49025 (no matter which one was reported first)?

feel free to rewrite the old-fashioned noatun plugin-architecture. With the current approach it's not possible without ugly hacks.
Comment 3 Knut Johansson 2004-10-24 22:17:26 UTC
Is it possible to workaround this by moving the option to Noatun proper and not in the pluggins? Option to set Noatun to startup minimized. Or at least when using sessionmanagment have Noatun startup minimized if it was minimized when logging out(only follow sm, no option needed). This will take care of the issue with having to minimize Noatun on every login for us young hickory/sessionmanegment users at least.

Comment 5 Christoph Feck 2012-07-02 16:26:51 UTC
noatun has not been part of the KDE 4 release and is no longer maintained.

KDE now offers Dragon as a video player and JuK as a music player. Additionally, other popular KDE players have been ported to KDE 4, such as Amarok or Kaffeine.

If this issue is still applicable to KDE 4 applications, please add a comment or file a new report.
