Upstream fedora bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=850445 Hey Trever! First of all ,thank you for your feedback .Since you are new to Kbuntu first of all you need to build kalgebra or which ever edu app like pairs you want to try first .Now to build it you have to check out the repo and the branch after that in your konsole build it .Now for that you can use make && sudo make install .Also do check out if you are the root user . Cheers! Further there is a wiki page provided to on how to build kde projects you can refer it too. cheers! I'm not on Kubuntu, nor am I new to linux at all. I'm not sure what your comment has to do with the edu website at all, actually. the edu site provides app pages with some general info about an app and links for further information. pretty much like that mainsite of kde (currently). Those pages are served through plain json files. So it should be pretty simple for app maintainers to check them out and update accordingly, though it might indeed be an overhead of work. As for a more global way of informing about how to compile/update/install kde edu apps themselves i propose a simple wiki page, maybe specialized for edu. that way it can easily be updated. And lastly, just adding that link to the json files. This is not a website issue, this is a documentation issue. I recommend to close this issue and talk to kde-edu mailing list to see if they can help and create a link to this. Reassigning, should be moved to mailing list Adding Andreas. He has been working on a new infrastructure for the KDE Edu website (for now) so we can better document these things. Thank you for the bug report. As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists. If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved. |
