The bug report isn't either because you have not given a way how to reproduce the problem. Closing. Feel free to reopen with at least a way to reproduce. As kmail is out of the mandrake binaries from kde-ftp kde.2.2-beta1 this bug I think can be reproduced simply by: 1. have the kde-precompiled binaries installed on a clean Mandrake8 with all updates (but not from cooker) 2. having several pop acccounts defined (in my case 6 different accounts) 3. define automatic lookup every 20 to 30 minutes 4. leaving kmail open the whole day. It will crash at least once a day with the submitted crash info which I include here again for reference: [New Thread 1024 (LWP 1585)] 0x41253689 in wait4 () from /lib/libc.so.6 #0 0x41253689 in wait4 () from /lib/libc.so.6 #1 0x412c46ec in __check_rhosts_file () from /lib/libc.so.6 #2 0x409d85ae in KCrash::defaultCrashHandler (signal=0) at kcrash.cpp:197 #3 0x4116a467 in _IO_2_1_stderr_ () from /usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3 Please have a look at it because I think this bug should be reopened and given a closer look. If I can be of further help pls. let me know Andy ak703@softhome.net The original summary for this bug was longer than 255 characters, and so it was truncated when Bugzilla was upgraded.
