Description Janet 2010-03-21 04:47:14 UTC
Version: 2.3.0 (using 4.3.4 (KDE 4.3.4), Debian packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.33-0.slh.10-sidux-686

Please add an option to disable the breadcrumb view in the file browser. As the file browser usually sits in a narrow pane breadcrumbs are not readable in a "deep" tree structure (three steps deep and more), an editable addess bar is more useful in that case. I have made the left pane which holds the file browser twice as wide as I'd like it to have by putting the context pane into a tab but still the file browser is very hard to use with the breadcrumbs.

How about an option to always start either in breadcrumb or in editable mode and alsochange it by a click like it's realized in dolphin?

You have to either count to guess which breadcrumb represents which folder or wait until the tooltip appears...

This is fixed in current git master. When there is not enough space, breadcrumb items are hidden from the left. (similar to the way it works in dolphin)
