Description H.H. 2009-05-04 23:18:22 UTC
Version:           0.70.50 (using 4.2.70 (KDE 4.2.70 (KDE 4.3 >= 20090415)) "release 1.2", KDE:KDE4:UNSTABLE:Desktop / openSUSE_11.0)
Compiler:          gcc
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.25.11-0.1-pae

sometimes, with some contacts more often than with others, all text I type in the input field of the chat-window has black-background (so I cannot see what I write). going into settings - chat-window-settings - ignore background color(translated from german), and toggle this option & pressing apply, seems to help temporary.

it can also happen, that the text of the other contact is black, if he also uses kopete.

this problem only appears while having the other contact using kopete and the icq-protocol and exists since a few kde subversions (~4.1.68)

I can confirm this.
Qt: 4.5.0
KDE: 4.2.71 (KDE 4.2.71 (KDE 4.3 >= 20090428))
Kopete: 0.70.50

This happens only with Icq but not with Kopete users. The contact i had problems with uses miranda.
